St. Joseph, MO (2010-07-15) The first of a series of meetings designed to unveil St. Joseph's proposed flood insurance rate maps starts tonight.
The public hearings are required for St. Joseph's participation in the National Flood Insurance Program.
The City is trying to identify flood elevations and other technical information to comply.
Tonight's meeting will be at the Benton High School Library.
Next Wednesday it will be at Lafayette High School, then at Central High School Freshman Gym on the 28th.
The final one will be at the Remington Nature Center on the 11th.
All meetings start at 7 in the evening.
