HOLT COUNTY, MO. (2010-07-30) A hot weekend of more cleaning up faces hundreds of Northwest Missourians in the Big Lake area in Holt County.

Emergency officials estimate it could be September before some residents can move back in after floods in June caused destruction. The American Red Cross out of St. Joseph continues sending volunteers up to help, which means the need is still there. Executive director Kevin Kirby says supplies are needed in bulk about 150 of the like items so the best donations continue to be cash. If you want to help you can contact the Midland Empire Chapter of the American Red Cross in St. Joseph.
