KANSAS CITY, MO. (2010-7-27) With the deadline coming at the end of this week, Premium Standard Farms files its plan for complying with a court order.

The corporate hog giant filed in Kansas City area court it's plan for implementing next generation technology as required by the courts. The company has worked for a decade trying to comply with the experts, spending about 40 million dollars. PSF says it will take two more years, but will install manure scrapers in the remaining 7 barns by July 31st of 2012. A team of experts has been tracking the efforts by PSF to see it complies with the court order. In court documents company president Bill Homann said PSF is trying to follow the rules in order to protect employee jobs and the economic well-being of North Missouri where it has numerous operations. PSF says it's responsible for more than 11,000 jobs through its pig farms and a substantial tax base for local governments.
