Jefferson City, MO (2010-07-23) Medicaid and education in Missouri could be hard-hit in the next round of budget cuts.
Missouri state budget for the 2012 fiscal year is already looking grim.
The 2012 budget, which begins next July, is already excpected to be 600-million dollars short according to Governor Jay Nixon's office.
The deficit is being blamed on an anticipated loss of 860 million dollars lost in federal funding.
Linda Luebbering (loo-ber-ing) is Governor Nixons Budget Director. She says the State is already looking to make reductions.
Lubbering adds next year's budget cuts would be spread out as evenly as possible.
