MARYVILLE, MO (2010-07-22) The Maryville Public Library gets 9 thousand dollars in federal grant money for a real-life impact.
Maryville Library Director Stephanie Patterson says the bulk of the grant- 46 hundred dollars- will create a new collection called "The Small Business Career Development Collection".
Patterson says the books will be wide ranging- everything from career paths to marketing to data analytics.
She says the Maryville Library is responding to a need.
The other parts of the grant money will be used for adult literacy tools and 36-hundred dollars will be spent on meeting a greater demand for children's books at the Maryville Public Library.
The new books should be on the shelves starting next month.
