Hopkins, MO (2010-07-09) Summer is a time for fun in the sun and some good eating.
The Hopkins Picnic gets you ready for just that by having carnival rides, live entertainment, and food.
Now in its 122nd year, picnic festivities are tonight and run Saturday until midnight.
The Hopkins Lions Club, Hopkins United Methodist Church, and Boy Scouts will have different varieties of food to chose, from pizza to tenderloins.
There will also be homemade ice cream from the cheerleaders.
Pastor Susan Noakes (like cokes - nokes) of Hopkins Methodist Church says this is an event for all to enjoy and to catch up with their old friends and have some summer fun.
Tomorrow at 5 the bar-b-q dinner begins. There will also be a quilt show, flower arrangment show, and live entertainment.
