Tarkio, MO (2010-07-05) Congressman Sam Graves of Tarkio, Missouri is sponsoring a long-term reauthorization of the Federal Flood Insurance Bill.
The bill, if passed, would extend the National Flood Insurance programs term through May 31 of next year.
Federal lawmakers allowed it to expire this May.
Graves believes that a long-term reauthorization of the program is vitally important to Northwest Missouri.
The H.R. 5650 has been referred to the House committee on financial services for further consideration.
