MARYVILLE, MO (2010-07-07) The major electric company for Northwest Missouri is asking state regulators to raise rates again.
Kansas City Power and Light is requesting a charge decrease in the Kansas City area... but an increase in what it charges its electric customers in St. Joseph and north.
If the state approves the plan the average Northwest Missouri customer will see their monthly bills go up by about 90 cents.
The state's Public Service Commission says any customers wanting to weigh in on the electric rate proposal can contact the commission in Jefferson City before July 21st.
