St. Joseph, MO (2010-07-23) The St. Joseph Police issue an alert as a rash of debit card faud cases pour in.

Police say victims have their original card, but money has been taken from someone in another state.

The Department believes the fraud is happening in a wide spread area and not just in St. Joseph.

They also say if you're banking in St. Joseph and live elsewhere, you should alert authorities in your jurisdiction- not in St. Joseph.

The St. Joseph P-D says it's working with the federal Secret Service to track down how the fraud is taking place.
