Jefferson City, MO (2009-07-22) Missouri's Treasurer is touring the state, promoting restrictions that have been lifted to make more farms eligible for low interest loans.
The new provisions are part of the Missouri Linked Deposit Program.
New legislation allows more people to take advantage of the loans, which are intended for small businesses and farms.
Treasurer Clint Zweifel (zwy-full) says now, a business or farm with up to 1 hundred employees can apply for the low interest loans- whereas before, the cap was only 25 employees.
Zweifel says before the changes, just a third of the money available was being used.
