Northwest, MO (2009-07-07) A treasure trove of Federal Stimulus money is coming into our area for a variety of projects.

It's part of more than 2 million dollars being distributed through the U-S-D-A's Rural Development Program.

Among the recipients are the Nodaway Health Services.

They're expecting two grants totaling nearly 6 hundred thousand dollars to purchase a new building.

The Worth County Emergency Services is getting two grants totaling nearly 370 thousand dollars to help build a fire station.

Ten thousand is coming to Mercer County's Local Emergency Planning Commission for purchasing an emergency siren.

The City of Purdin gets a grant of more than 5 thousand dollars to remodel the Community Center bathroom.

And more than 16 thousand is coming to Mound City to purchase a new police car.
