St. Joseph, MO (2009-07-13) Two separate St. Joseph area projects are getting more tax money from the stimulus plan.
Mo-Dot says it's using about 2 million Federal dollars for Highway AC in Buchanan County.
Crews will construct right turn lanes and resurface the highway.
And the Missouri River Levee project is getting 340 thousand dollars.
This will help restore the levee systems of the Missouri River in St. Joseph as well as Elwood and Wathena (wah-thee-nuh) Kansas.
That funding must still be passed by the U-S House and signed into law before being released.
