Jefferson City, MO (2009-07-31) Summer travelers in Missouri may notice new road signs along the way.

Mo-Dot has begun to replace aging signs with brighter ones in a new material to make them more visible.

Mo-Dot Director of System Management Don Hillis says a number of different signs are set to be replaced- and it all comes down to safety.

Hillis says to save money signs will only be upgraded as they age and need to be replaced.
