MARYVILLE, MO (2009-07-13) The Maryville City Council takes up the ongoing issue of the water plant upgrades during tonight's meeting.
The City is being forced to comply with stricter environmental mandates regarding waste treatment, which means a multi-million dollar upgrade of the existing facility in the next few years.
Council members are considering a specific type of system that will help the City reach the upcoming guidelines, and City Council members recently visited a similar water treatment plant in Colorado to benchmark the process.
A report on that trip as well as discussion on reservation at Mozingo Lake Park facilities will be given.
The Maryville City Council meeting starts at 7 tonight(Monday) at City Hall.
