Marceline, MO (2009-07-23) The Marceline City Council met earlier this week, with several key issues on the agenda.
Council members discussed the issue of allowing golf carts and motorized wheelchairs on city streets. No decision was made, but the issue is now under review by the City Attorney, who will come before the City Council again next month for another around of discussion.
Council members also set aside time to meet with representatives from the City of Bucklin. Marceline City Manager Elizabeth Cupp says the two are considering a partnership that would aide Bucklin's water supply.
City Council members also approved a grant agreement with C-D-B-G at this week's meeting. Marceline will be receiving grant funds through C-D-B-G to help with damage caused by floods in September.
