MARYVILLE, MO (2009-07-27) Two and a half cents.
That's the proposed levy increase for Maryville R-2 school district patrons- and not nearly as high as it might be.
At the last board meeting Superintendent Vickie Miller told board members legally they have the option to raise the levy to 6 cents, but she says everyone agrees it should stay at the annual average increase- especially in these recessionary times.
Miller adds a levy hearing will be next month for patrons to give input… but she's willing to hear from anyone until then by contacting her office.
