MARYVILLE, MO (2009-07-27) The Senator from Northwest Missouri is taking the lead in the investigation of why health information was withheld regarding bacteria levels in the state's largest lake.
Brad Lager (lag-gur) is co-chair of the Senate's Environmental Committee and says it's appropriate to hold hearings why the report on e-coli levels at the Lake of the Ozarks was delayed until after the busy Fourth of July weekend.
Lager's call for hearings is backed by fellow lawmaker Kurt Schaefer- who is also a former Deputy Director and General Counsel for the D-N-R.
An exact date for a hearing hasn't been set yet, but will likely happen in the next few months.
