St. Joseph, MO (2009-07-01) Millions more taxpayer dollars are coming to our region from the Federal Stimulus Package to construct and repair health care centers.
The capital improvement program will send 1-point-2 million dollars for Northwest Health Services in St. Joseph.
And just more than 8 hundred thousand is going to Northeast Missouri Health Council based in Kirksville.
Those two agencies are among 20 in missouri that will share in 17 million dollars.
The goal is to renovate healthcare sites, purchase new equipment, and improve the use of electronic health records.
