King City, MO (2009-07-14) A road north of King City closed since the first part of last month is now re-open.

Mo-Dot confirms Route Double-B is back open after being closed June 2nd for bridge work.

That was the Island Creek Bridge west of Highway 169.

Re-opening the bridge and road represents the 50th bridge project under Mo-Dot's Safe and Sound Bridge Improvement program.

Under that program in the next 5 years 155 more bridges are scheduled for improvement in Northwest Missouri alone.
