Gallatin, MO (2009-07-16) The City of Gallatin is considering an ordinance to allow golf carts on city streets.

At the recent meeting Police Chief Mark Richards says he's working on the new law, which would take into account lights, mirrors and a city sticker.

Also discussed at the meeting are proposed rate changes in the water bills, as the water plant project moves forward.

Gallatin plans on being a member of the newly-formed Wholesale Water Commission.

The City also learned it did not receive the transportation enhancement grant for the sidewalks around the square.
