MARYVILLE, MO (2009-07-23) Beginning August 5th, St. Francis Family Health Care in Maryville will be extending their hours of operation on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

From 5 until 7 every Wednesday and Thursday evening, Dr. Michael Wurm (worm) will be offering coverage at the Hospital's Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic, across from the Emergency Room.
Wurm says that in addition to offering medical services to people who aren't able to come for office visits during regular business hours, the new evening hours should help reduce the number of emergency room visits for minor emergencies.
Pateints wishing to schedule evening appointments will be able to simply call the appointment desk to schedule their visit. However, the extended hours will not apply to the appointment desk, so calls should be made before 5 o'clock. In addition to appointments, walk-in patients will also be received during the extended hours.
The Hospital hopes to extend the evening coverage to Monday through Friday in the future.
