Chillicothe Prison Proposals

Chillicothe , MO (2009-07-23) The City of Chillicothe is asking for ideas on what to do with the former women's prison.

The property and buildings of the old Chillicothe Women's Correctional Center on the south side of third street is now City property, but officials are considering selling it off.

But first, says City Administrator Dean Brookshire, they're requesting proposals from developers or others interested to find out what their plans are.

The deadline for anyone interested in submitting a proposal is 2 in the afternoon on August 21st.
