Bond on Natl Guard

MARYVILLE, MO (2009-07-07) Missouri's Senior Senator is complimenting the Missouri National Guard's efforts in Afghanistan policy.

Kit Bond serves on the Senate Intelligence Committee, which sent the Obama administration several points on the overall military approach in Afghanistan.

Bond says America can serve as leaders in getting the country back on its feet.

Bond says nearly 50 National Guardsmen and women with agricultural backgrounds recently moved into an area to teach modern farming methods, converting from poppy growing to vegetable farming.
