169 Overpass Closing

St. Joseph, MO (2009-07-08) Part of Interstate 29 is shutting down today.

MoDot is moving the Highway 169 overpass over I-29 and starting at noon today, northbound lanes of I-29 will be (are) closed.

They'll re-open to traffic at 11 tomorrow morning.

Then tomorrow night, the southbound lanes will close at the 169 overpass- that will start at 7 tomorrow and last until 6 in the morning on Friday.

Mo-Dot says it's routing Interstate traffic through the off-ramps to by-pass traffic.

Again- that will just last until Friday mornng.

The work on the new overpass bridge on Highway 169 will last for about 8 weeks.

All exit ramps will remain open to traffic during that construction.
