In Northwest Missouri K-C-P-and-L has crews on standby, but is also warning residents to be prepared just incase the electricity goes out.

Spokeswoman Clara Miller says thinking ahead could save some stress.

Experts recommend at least 1 gallon of water on hand per person per day for an emergency kit.
