MARYVILLE, MO (1/8/2010) The weight of snow has buckled a roof and shut down the Maryville Kawasaki plant.
The plant manager says about a 1 hundred by one hundred foot section of roof started to sag before the factory's Christmas shutdown, but yesterday the snow weight further weakened temporary repairs that had been made.
The weakened section is being walled off from regular plant operations.
Kawasaki officials have called in a contractor from St. Joseph for repairs, which could take a month .
Workers at the plant are expected to be back to regular shifts on monday.
