Jefferson City, MO (1/7/2010) The winter storm bearing down on most of Missouri has cut short the first week of the legislative session in Jefferson City.

This morning's technical session is (was) for lawmakers to file bills, but House Majority Floor Leader Steven Tilley also encouraged them late yesterday to go home.

The State Senate also cancelled its session today because of the winter storm.
