Trenton, MO (1/6/2010) Teachers and administrators in the Trenton School District recently got to hear how the state budget issues may affect them in the future.
Missouri Senator Brad Lager was invited to Trenton by Educational Services Director Barb Cox.
Lager answered questions from teachers in a discussion about the current state of educational funding in Missouri and what it may mean for rural communities.
Lager says the reduction in revenue has forced everyone to look at how Missouri can continue to advance educational achievements.
Cox says she thinks the positive side of the budget situation is an opportunity to shift focus on how to improve education in Missouri.
Cox also says the changes will come slowly but she believes they will come.
