ST. JOSEPH, MO. (2010-1-26) Nearly $80,000. That's how much regional residents have sent to the Red Cross chapter in St. Joseph to help Haitian relief efforts.
Midland Empire Chapter director Kevin Kirby tells us as of this past Friday, more than 13,000 people have given to the local Red Cross with the average gift around $60. The St. Joseph Chapter continues taking donations which are being added to the 137 million dollars the National Red Cross has gotten for Haitian relief efforts.
