DAVIESS COUNTY, MO. (2010-1-26) Two are arrested after 111 pounds of marijuana is discovered in Daviess County.
The Missouri highway patrol says a Ford pickup was stopped for a lane violation on interstate 35 in Daviess. During the stop the trooper became suspicious and asked permission to search the truck which was granted. Officers say a patrol canine hit on a compartment in the front of the pickup bed, where more than 100 pounds of pot was discovered. Arrested were a man and woman from Austin Texas. They were taken to the Daviess-DeKalb regional jail.
