Grain Theft Charges

GALLATIN, MO. (2010-1-28) The husband and wife team in Gallatin accused by the state of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from regional grain producers has more charges filed against them.

Dan and Pauline Froman used to own the Gallatin Grain Company until regulators came in and took over the operation. The Fromans now face more than 20 felony counts of stealing grain, providing false records, and other issues. State regulators believe the Fromans were selling grain of dozens of area producers without their knowledge and that they witheld financial records from investigators. After waiving his formal arraignment Dan Froeman has another court hearing in mid-March. Authorities are currently looking for Pauline Froeman for her court hearing.
