University Police Investigation at Horace Mann

Northwest Missouri State University Police are investigating a report of a suspicious person entering the first floor of Everett Brown Hall...which contains the Horace Mann Laboratory School.

According to a news release from the University...University Police and Maryville Public Safety officers immediately responded to the scene. Reports indicate the suspicious person entered the school through the west door at 7:50 this morning and proceeded to exit through the east doors. All classrooms were secured and after a thorough search of the building...the building was declared safe at 8:05. University Police officers will remain in the area throughout the day and parents are being notified of this morning's incident.
