The Missouri General Assembly begins their first full week of the 2013 session today.
One of the major issues facing the state legislators again this year will center around the state budget. Fourth District State Representative Mike Thomson of Maryville says early figures indicate Missouri will see an increase of approximately 250 million dollars in revenue this year. Thomson says while the increased revenue will be welcome it doesn't go far in addressing the many needs of the state.
Thomson will again this year serve as the chairman of the House Higher Education committee.© Copyright, KXCV
