Governor Jay Nixon may have put Medicaid expansion into the budget and his State of the State address, but that doesn't mean state lawmakers are buying it.
Nixon's budget included nearly a billion dollars of federal money to cover an expanded state Medicaid program. Nixon says Missourians should see their federal tax money come back in the form of Medicaid. Licensed physician and Republican Senator Rob Schaaf says state Republican's weren't convinced by Nixon's arguments.
House and Senate leadership have not endorsed the idea, but still haven't ruled out some form of future Medicaid expansion.© Copyright, KXCV
