Livingston County officials are investigating the theft of firearms in two recent burglaries.

Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox says multiple firearms were stolen from the two homes in the northwest part of the county. Sheriff Cox says his office has identified suspects in the thefts.

Sheriff Cox is considering turning the information over to the U.S. Attorneys Office for Federal Prosecution. He recommends firearms owners keep their firearms locked in a safe when not in use.
