Clarinda, IA (2013-01-15)
The Clarinda City Council recently heard a presentation on making the city's public park system tobacco-free.
The parks are already required to be smoke-free, but suggestions have been placed before the council to completely eliminate the use of tobacco. Clarinda City Manager Gary McClarnon says the City Council has some concerns they want answered before voting on the issue.
McClarnon says the Clarinda City Council is also considering the removal of traffic control devices at 16th and Washington in favor of a 4-way stop sign intersection. McClarnon says the Council is seeking public input before making a final decision.© Copyright, KXCV
