The Annual 4-State Beef Conference takes place at the end of the month.
The conference, on January 29th, will offer cattlemen in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas the opportunity to hear about topics such as genetic improvement in beef cattle feed efficiency. Regional Livestock Specialist at the University of Missouri Extension Amie Schleicher says one of the speakers, Darren Williams with the National Cattleman's Beef Association, will speak about engaging consumers in a beef conversation.
Schleicher says there will also be a beef industry update and outlook from a representative from Cattle Facts. The conference begins at 5pm and a beef dinner will be served at 6:30. The conference in Missouri will be held at the Hammer Memorial United Methodist Church in King City. For more information about other locations or to register, contact your local county extension office. The deadline for registration is Friday, January 25th.© Copyright, KXCV
