Thomson on Funding Formula

In another tight budget year, Maryville representative Mike Thomson says there's another discussion brewing on funding our schools in the state.

Thomson is the chair of the house education committee and says even through lawmakers are reviewing proposed legislation to fix the state's school funding formula, the old saying "All politics is local" is slowing the process down.

Lawmakers are trying to find a balance between the wide funding spread of smaller verses larger Missouri School Districts.
