A new ruling by the flood and drug administration will impact regional pork producers.
The FDA is restricting the use of a certain type of livestock antibiotics known as Cephalosporins. Public health veterinarian Gail Hansen says the concern is the drugs may contribute to the growing threat of treatment, resistant bacteria.
