If you have ever even thought of helping your community during a crisis, next Tuesday is for you.

That's when the St. Joseph-based Red Cross is holding a basic disaster services class to introduce potential Volunteers to Red Cross Service. Emergency Services director Karla Long says right now they have about 150 regional residents to help, but even more are needed.

Again, the disaster services class will be next Tuesday from 9 to 4 at the Red Cross offices in St. Joseph. You are asked to pre-register by calling them, that number is 816-232-8439.
