Martin Luther King Peace March

Northwest Missouri State University will honor Martin Luther King Junior with a series of events this week.

The first ever peace brunch and march is taking place today. Courthouse, where there will be speakers and a proclamation. Later today members of the community are invited to volunteer at a local nursing home. Those who wish to attend should meet at the intercultural and international center in the Student Union at 2:45. Director of Intercultural Affairs Steve Bryant says the activities are taking place to show people that they can make a positive difference in the world. 

On Friday night there will be a unity celebration. It will include poetry, songs, and dance promoting themes of peace, justice and unity. That will begin at seven in the Student Union Ballroom.
