3 cases of counterfeit checks have occurred in Maryville.

Maryville Public Safety says one fake business check and two personal checks were recently passed at two Maryville businesses. Detective Randy Strong says local businesses should be on the lock out.

Authorities were altered to a fake check that passed through the St. Joseph Walmart earlier in the day, but the suspect left the Maryville location before authorities were contacted.
