MARYVILLE, MO (2011-01-10) Pockets of snow continue falling across our listening area and according to forecasters should continue through the overnight hours as well.
The national weather service has our region under a winter weather advisory through 6 tomorrow morning. They say heavier bands should drop another 1 to two inches of snow, taper off, then pick up again later this afternoon. Across northern Missouri, it's possible we could see 6 to 9 inches of snow on the ground by tomorrow morning. However most communities in our listening area might just have around 4 to 5 inches. By tomorrow morning most of the new snow will be over but temperatures will struggle to get out of the teens all day and winds are expected to pick up making blowing and drifting snow the main concern throughout tomorrow. As always, you can keep it here to 90.5 and 88.9 FM for the latest in forecasts, cancellations, and other information.
