MARYVILLE, MO (2011-01-03) Legislators in Missouri start their session on Wednesday, and today we begin a series of discussions with regional lawmakers.
Representative Mike Thomson of Maryville predicts the budget will have a larger impact this session than in the past decade. He was recently re-appointed as chair of the house higher education committee. But he says bills he's looking at introducing tie in with the state funding woes. Thomson says another possible change could be schools leasing buildings or land. During newscasts tomorrow we will hear from representative Casey Guernsey on his predictions for the upcoming session.
