SAVANNAH, MO (2011-01-13) A northwest Missouri lawmaker has been named chairman of a committee in the state senate.

The senate leader announced leader of 18 committees, including Brad Lager of Savannah who will head up the commerce, consumer protection, energy, and environment senate committee. Senate leader Robert Mayor says because of fiscal challenges facing this legislative session, committee chairmen will have to jump in to do some heavy work in a short amount of time.
