Red Cross Heroes

ST. JOSEPH, MO (2011-01-14) People helping in times of crisis can be called "Heroes" and now our region's Red Cross Chapter is looking for 80 of them.

The Midland Empire Chapter based in St. Joseph serves a 13-county area in north Missouri and is staring a fundraising campaign. Director Kevin Kirby says they are looking for 80 volunteers who will commit to raising funds for the Red Cross. Kirby says the goals is $100,000 which will help pay for disaster relief as well as services to the armed forces. Anyone wanting to become a Red Cross hero can contact the St. Joseph chapter.
