MARCELINE, MO (2011-01-19) Marceline area residents can attend an event on Saturday that could help them through the cold winter months.
It's the 4th annual North Missouri Energy Expo. Local businesses will be on hand to teach low-cost or no-cost ways to make homes more energy efficient. Organizer Dennis Van Dyke says that translates into lower energy bills. On Saturday morning area 5th, 6th, and 7th graders will be participating in a contest to make residential landscaping more "Green" by using rain barrels, trees, and other tools. The public tours of the North Missouri Energy Expo runs from noon to 4 this Saturday at the Walsworth Community Center in Marceline.
