JEFFERSON CITY, MO (2011-01-19) From healthcare to road condition, all residents in the state of Missouri could see changes this upcoming year as state officials grapple with constructing a new budget in tough economic times.
Tonight Missouri governor Jay Nixon will unveil his plans for the budget during the annual "State of the state" speech at the Missouri capitol, which will be heard here on 90.5 and 88.9 FM. One of the areas of concern for both lawmakers and families is cuts in state funding to our region's colleges and universities. In preview remarks, the governor says he's trying to be realistic on tuition increases and reasonable.
