Bus Budget

Totusek

MARYVILLE, MO (2011-01-19) Governor Jay Nixon has released 7.5 million dollars in funding to local school district to assist in covering transportation costs.

The cost of fuel for busses has raised about 10% since the start of the school year, causing school districts to dip into reserve funds. Maryville R-2 superintendent Vicki Miller says when state funding isn't available in these situations, school districts have to be creative as to where they find the money.
