ANDREW COUNTY, MO. (2010-1-22) For the past 4 years the Andrew County Extension Center has been tracking sales at the North Central/Northwest show me select replacement heifer sales.
The trends reveal some interesting statistics for regional cattlement. For instance, the overall average weight during the past 4 years and nearly 500 heifers has been 1,085 pounds bring on average $1,243. Higher than average prices came for heifers expecting to start calving in February. Registered livestock averaged $156 more than non-registered.
